Document Description
Conduct geotechnical investigation of soil at nine sites within paved roadways or on the adjacent shoulder areas in Armstrong Redwoods SNR to determine subsurface conditions for a direct drilled waterline. Work will bore nine holes approximately 15-35 feet deep; use a driven, down-hole sampler at various intervals to obtain soil samples; backfill dry holes with soil excavated, wet holes with cement grout; spread excess soil around borings away from drainage areas. the approximately 24' long, 8' wide, and 11' tall (mast-down) or 24' tall (mast-up) with an approximate weight of 19,000 lbs. truck-mounted drill rig equipped with 8-inch diameter hollow-stem augers requires a 12-foot-wide working area.
