Document Description
The project is limited to repair of an existing 80-foot long by 12-foot wide wooden and steel bridge of Gibson Canyon Creek which was damaged in a fire. The burnt wooden bridge decking and beams will be removed and replaced as necessary. Approximately 1-cubic yard of accumulated sediment will be removed from underneath the bridge in order to gain access to the bridge superstructure. The steel superstructure will then be power washed in order to remove rust and then primed and re-coated. A containment system will be installed below the bridge prior to the beginning pressure washing in order to capture wash water and debris that will result from washing and recoating the bridge. No flowing water is anticipated in the stream channel during repair activities. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2013-0245-R3 is pursuant to Fish and Game Section 1602.
