Document Description
The UCSF proposes to replace five existing 30,000 gallon underground diesel storage tanks located in Medical Center Way at the Parnassus Heights campus site. The proposed new replacement tanks would be located in the same location as the current tanks and would be the same size. The underground pump discharge and manifold would be replaced as well as the fuel line. The closure of Medical Center Way to traffic between the project site and the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) building would be required for approx. 6 to 8 months. Consequently, there would be no vehicular access from Parnassus Avenue via Medical Center Way to EH&S, Surge, Woods, Aldea Housing or the Aldea Community Center. Vehicle access to these locations would be via city streets - Clarendon Avenue and Johnson Drive. The proposed project is consistent with the UCSF 2014 Long Range Development Plan.
