The UCSF proposes to increase the licensed child care capacity at the Kirkham Child Development Center by converting an under-utilized multipurpose room on the first floor into a classroom to serve an additional 21 full-time enrolled child care slots. enrollment would increase gradually between April and September 2017, reaching the licensed capacity of 21 additional slots by September 2017. In order to meet or exceed licensing requirements, two additional teachers would be employed at the Kirkham Center. The proposed project is consistent with the UCSF 2014 Long Range Development Plan.
