Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0090-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Plumas county Dept. of Public Works.
The project is limited to the replacement of an existing structurally deficient bridge over Spanish Creek. The current bridge is a single lane approx. 50 foot long bridge with steel stringers and laminated timber deck. The new bridge will occupy the same alignment as the existing structure. The new bridge will be two (2) lanes, approx. 114 feet long and 29 feet wide with metal tube bridge railings mounted on curbs. The bridge will be constructed of precast concrete voided slab elements supported on cast in place concrete substructures on driven pile supported foundations. The piles will be driven approx. 30 to 40 feet deep.
The existing roadway embankment on the south bank of the creek will be removed. To prevent scouring, permanent rock slope protection will be placed adjacent to the new bridge abutments.
