Document Description
The proposed amendment to the South Bay Salt Pond Restoration Project, Phase 2 includes the restoration of Mountain View Slough and Ponds A1 and A2W, with the goals of improving resiliency to sea-level rise along the South Bay's shoreline. The Project will create self-sustaining tidal wetlands, a transition zone for accommodating sea level rise, and uplands that provide valuable habitat for special status species, as well as improve water quality in San Francisco Bay and provide public access for compatible, passive recreation . The State Lands Commission action is an amendment of a 66-year General Lease - Public Agency Use through August 31, 2047.
