Document Description
CDFW is intending to execute a Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (#1600-2015-0201-R5) to the project applicant, San Diego Gas & Electric. Project activities are associated with Applicant's proposal to replace certain electric power lines located within and outside the Cleveland National Forest. Replacement would primarily include fire hardening (wood-to-steel pole replacement), relocation, and undergrounding. Project activities include removal of existing poles, installation of new or replacement poles, trenching across the stream to install underground lines, and the repair and or improvement of existing access roads. The project proposes to impact 0.32048 acre streambed and associated habitat including 0.10793 acre of permanent impact and 0.21255 acre of temporary impact. Applicant proposes to restore areas temporarily impacted and mitigate the permanent impacts at 2:1 replacement-to-impact ratio through the purchases of mitigation credits at a CDFW-approved mitigation bank for the permanent impacts.
