Document Description
The project is the update of the San Joaquin General Plan with a planning horizon to 2030. The comprehensive update includes the seven mandates elements as well as economic, public facilities, community design, and health elements. Also included in the project is a proposed expansion of the Sphere of Influence as adopted by the Fresno LAFCO. The SOI would be expanded from 962 acres to 2,097 acres. The General Plan land use element includes land use designations for the existing City as well as the SOI expansion area. The holding capacity of the General Plan is estimated to be 18,000 at build-out of the plan.
