Document Description
The Project consists of the development of Phase I and II of the permitted Seville Solar Farm Complex Project. It involves construction of 50 megawatts of solar energy using photo voltaic panels on lots 4 and 5, 0.45 miles of new access roads, Imperial Irrigation District switch and project substations, Anza substation modifications, and approximately 2.6 miles of new 92 kV transmission line on a total of 683.08 acres. The solar farm is located on private land and the transmission line will be developed on public land administered by the Bureau of Land Management. The Project will result in impacts to 45.88 acres of Flat-tailed horned lizard (Phrynozoma mcallii) habitat. The Project will permanently remove 45.88 acres of Flat-tailed horned lizard habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of Flat-tailed horned lizard, which is designated as a candidate species under the California Endangered Species Act. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
