SunnyGem is proposing the plant expansion project at its existing almond processing facility in Wasco, California. The project would include: (1) a DUP amendment to increase operations to up to 120 million almond meat pounds per year; (2) the construction of up to 220,000 sf in the form of five warehouse, processing, office, and shop buildings; (3) on-site improvements in the form of paving, parking perimeter fencing, loading docks, a conveyance pipe and a utility service upgrade; and (4) F Street improvements in the form of new gates, extension of existing sidewalk, extension of existing landscaping, and extension of the concrete block wall.
