Document Description
The City of Laguna Beach is proposing a "clean closure" of the Laguna Beach Water Tank Burn Site ("Burn Site"). The proposed Burn Site Remediation and Restoration Project includes of two phases. The initial phase of the project (remediation) includes the removal, transport, and disposal of waste from three areas identified to contain contaminated materials: (1) the "primary site"; (2) the "secondary site"; and (3) the "ravine" (i.e., the drainage course between the primary and secondary sites). The second phase (restoration/revegetation) includes the restoration of the primary site to a condition that, to the extent feasible, is representative of the condition of the area prior to the trash collection and incineration activity that created the Burn Site.
