Document Description
This project includes the development of a 20 MW solar photovoltaic power generating facility and its associated infrastructure, including grading; ground clearing; fencing removal and installation; solar array, underground collection system and telecommunication system installation; substation, battery energy storage system (BESS), inverter and road construction; vehicle operation and staging; geotechnical and soil investigations; construction staging; and operations, maintenance, and decommissioning activities.
The project will result in impacts to 160 acres of habitat for San Joaquin kit fox and San Joaquin antelope suirrel, including temporary impacts to 30 acres; the project will permanently remove 160 acres of San Joaquin kit fox and San Joaquin antelope squirrel habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of San Joaquin kit fox and San Joaquin antelope squirrel, which are designated as threatened species under CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of Covered Species, subject to various terms and conditions, including the requirement that all authorized impacts are fully mitigated.
