Document Description
Note: Pursuant to the October 24, 2013 Order of the Interior Board of Indian Appeals (IBIA) in which it vacated the Tribe's Land Consolidation and Acquisition Plan ("TCA") and the submission of a revised narrative for the Camp 4 fee-to-trust application, the lead agency is reissuing this notice to again seek comments regarding the within-subject application submitted by the Santa Ynez Band. The previous notice was dated September 17, 2013.
The subject property encompasses ~1,427.78 acres more or less. The project is adjacent to highway 154 and is 1.6 miles from the Santa Ynez Reservation.
The Tribe intends to provide tribal housing and supporting infrastructure on a portion of the property. The remainder will continue to be used for economic pursuits (vineyards and a horse boarding stable), as well as for future long range planning and land banking.
