Document Description
The project is limited to the stabilization of approximately 170-foot of bank erosion on Icaria Creek. The Permittee will install a live willow brush mattress 110-foot long by 15-foot wide with a rock toe, 4-foot long live willow stakes will be driven into the ground with a piling hammer on 3-foot centers to act as tie-downs for the mattress. Live will cuttings, 12- to 18-foot long, will be placed perpendicular to the bank with the ends sticking into the toe trench. The toe trench will be keyed into the water table so that the willow branches will be in contact with the water to insure successful root growth,
