Document Description
Pursuant to the Governor's Energy Executive Order B-18-12 calling for a reduction in energy load by the year 2015 for all state facilities, CDCR is undertaking a number of energy savings programs.At the prison locations shown above, CDCR will implement a comprehensive set of mechanical and lighting retrofits/upgrades designed to reduce energy consumption. Mechanical upgrades of air handler motors with premium efficiency motors and cogged belts, and installation of a building automation system to provide schedule and set point control air conditioning units facilitiy-wide. Lighting upgrades include the installation of interior and exterior lighting fixtures in housing units, dining facilities, and housing yards, primarily using induction lighting technology.
