Document Description
The project will block and decompact non-system trail segments currently subject to OHV use. Project sites include a 0.26-mile stretch between Fordyce Road and the Fordyce Lake shoreline; six roads in the Sierra Buttes Area along Gold Road totaling 3.6 miles (Roads 93-2-1, 93-3-4, 93-3-5, 93-7-2, 93-7-4 and an unauthorized road); 10 trail segments in the Burlington Trail system, which are overly steep, eroding, or unneeded totaling 2.9 miles; and approximately 0.6 miles of steep (32 to 38 percent grades) and eroding routes on the Cal-lda/Downieville Connector Trail. Decompaction would occur using a small dozer or hand tools as appropriate.
