Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is issuing a permit to Sandra Namoff pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 2081(a) for a project to study the population genetics of Calystegia stebbinsii. The project includes collecting Calystegia stebbinsii leaf tissue samples to determine population genetics, seed for long-term conservation storage, and voucher speciments from populations that have not been previously vouchered or that have not been vouchered withinthe last ten years. Leaf tissue samples will be collected from 35 individuals at each of four occurrences of Calystegia stebbinsii. In addition, leaf tissue will be collected from five or less individuals at each of 12 small, fragmented occurrences to assess rare alleles.
