Document Description
Thermalito Water and Sewer District (TWSD) proposes to temporarily transfer to Westlands Water District (WWD) up to 2,299 acre-feet of water made available through releases of water from Concow Reservoir, lolcated on Concow Creek upstream of Lake Oroville. TWSD has petitioned for, and the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) has approved, a change in the place of use of the transfer water. TWSD's Point of Transfer will be the fish flow weir at the outlet of Concow Dam. The transfer water will flow to the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, where it will be pumped by DWR at SWP Banks Pumping Plant and conveyed to WWD's service areas. The temporary transfer is intended to alleviate water shortages within WWD's service areas due to ongoing dry conditions and wouid not support new development.
