Document Description
The Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes a state funded project to remove existing metal beam guardrail (MBGR) and widen the existing unpaved shoulder approximately 25 feet from the exisitng edge of travel way on (SR) 36 in Trinity County near Forest Glen. All work will be confined to the existing Caltrans DOT easement with the US Forest Service. The purposer and need of the proposal is to widen the ujnpaved shoulder of (SR) 36 and remove the metal beam guardrail to prevent snow removal vehicles from striking the metal beam guardrail and to provide safer access into the existing chain on area.
