Document Description
The proposed project is derived from an awarded California Fire Safe Council grant that has allowed a phase II portion of the project to exist by providing additional funding for defensible space work on open common space areas adjacent to residential properties. The residential properties that are adjacent to this proposed work have been completed or are in the process of having State and District required defensible space work done to meet compliance. Both portions of the project are to create public safety in the event of a wildfire and are identified as Priority One in Northstar's Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). The project consists of four sites totaling 31.47. The project areas are located in the lower portion (northern) of the community of Northstar.
