Document Description
The purpose of this survey is to determine the distribution, seasonality, and abundance of juvenile white seabass in the shallow nearshore waters between Point Conception and the U.S./Mexico border. It will also be used to estimate survivorship of hatchery-raised and released white seabass that are part of the state's Ocean Resources Enhancement and Hatchery Program. Nine stations will be set with small-mesh set gill nets in waters 16-33 feet (5-10 meters) deep between Palos Verdes and Imperial Beach.
