NOE - Notice of Exemption
Remove one half-acre infestation of medusahead (Elymus caput-medusae) from the Albee Creek campground area of Humboldt Redwoods State Park to protect the park from a highly invasive plant.
* Weed-whack the medusahead in the spring when the campground is closed.
* Rake and haul off thatch
* Burn remaining thatch with propane torches while employing a wet fire line
* Apply Milestone in the fall and spring when the campground is closed, consistent with the manufacture's application guidelines.
Minor alterations in the condition of land and/or vegetation that do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees, and consists of restoration that does not exceed five acres in size for plant and wildlife habitat; included as "prescribed burns to restore native vegetation and control invasive exotic species" and "resource management project" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR section 15300.4.
