Document Description
The proposed project would mitigate erosion at the bridge foundations by excavating materials near the foundation and replacing them with stabilizing fabric and rock slope protection (RSP, or "riprap"). The scour countermeasures would extend 15 feet upstream and 15 feet downstream of the bridge limits. The existing bridge structure would remain unchanged. In addition, repair work would be done on the bridge deck and on the wing walls of bridge abutments, to correct identified deficiencies.
