Keswick Water System Improvement Project

The proposed on-site treatment plant improvements include: install two additional 5-foot diameter filters, requiring an 8-foot extension of the existing treatment plant building; complete replacement of the motor control center and SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system; complete a number of age-related rehabilitation improvements at the plant; convert the 0.05 million gallon (MG) tank at the plant into a backwash recycle tank; replace the existing 32-foot-wide by 24-foot-tall 0.15 MG storage tank with a 60-foot-wide by 24-foot-tall 0.50 MG welded tank; install an intertie with the City of Redding water distribution system to provide emergency backup supply and temporary water during construction of the new tank.
