Document Description
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), in cooperation with the Inyo National Forest, Inyo County and Mono County, is proposing to rehabilitate CA Forest Highway 89 (FH 89), also known as Rock Creek Road, which runs through a portion of the Inyo National Forest in Inyo and Mono counties. The project consists of the rehabilitation, restoration and resurfacing of approximately 9.1 miles of FH 89/Rock Creek Road w/ a bicycle climbing lane, from its junction with Highway 395 south to the end of the road near Rock Creek Pack Station. The project will be funded through the Federal Lands Access Program with a local matching grant. Construction will occur over two construction seasons and is scheduled for 2015/2016.
