Document Description
A Coastal Development Permit for after-the-fact permitting on the installation of a log debarker, staging area, and associated operations encompassing approximately 27 acres on the total 150+ acres comprising two adjacent assessor parcels in the Fairhaven area. The debarker will be used to remove the bark and stems from logs prior to sawing, chipping, or whole log use. After the debarker peels the bark off the logs, they are transferred to the log deck where they are stored until shipping. The bark is shipped to power plants locally and abroad. The South Dock, located on the property, is currently utilized for the shipment of the debarked logs to China.
