Document Description
The Project includes the installation of up to four 3 MW diesel generators (12 MW total), along with an up to 50,000 gallon diesel fuel storage tank and supporting facilities, within an approximately 1.5 acre site located within the fenced, central operational area of the San Jose / Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility. The diesel generators designed to meet emissions standards consistent with EPA Interim Tier 4 or better, would provide an emergency power supply to support the existing facility in the event of a catastrophic failure of existing on site power generation capacity, a total power loss from PG&E, or during any other disastrous situation resulting in power loss. Installation of the Project would also require the demolition and removal of an existing, abandoned 210,000 gallon diesel fuel storage tank located on site.
