Document Description
This proposed project is intending to execute a Major Amendment for Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2015-0187-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code, to the Jamul Indian Village Development Corporation (Applicant). This project involves streambed improvements including the removal of existing riprap from an unnamed tributary to Sweetwater River adjacent to the intersection of SR-94 and Jamacha Road and replacing it with a retaining wall, and removal of the existing culvert and fill from the Melody Road adjacent to the intersection of SR-94 and Melody Road. The Project will result in temporary impacts to 0.01 acre of streambed and 0.06 acre of riparian habitat; and permanent impacts to 0.05 acre of streambed and 0.22 acre of riparian habitat. The Agreement is being revised to reflect a change in the compensatory mitigation for the 0.22 acre of riparian impact. Rather than purchase 0.66 acre of establishment (creation) credits, the Applicant will purchase 0.88 acre of Southern Coast Live Oak Riparian Forest preservation credit from Cleveland Corridor Mitigation Bank.
