Document Description
The proposed San Miguel CPU is a comprehensive update to the existing San Miguel Community Plan adopted in 2004 by the Country of San Luis Obispo. The life of the CPU will be the time period of 2016-2035. The CPU includes revisions to all chapters of the existing Community Plan, including new and revised goals, policies, and implementing actions to reflect current and specific future needs of the community. The CPU includes a revised land use and circulation plan that encourages infill development in existing neighborhoods and new cluster subdivisions and mixed housing developments east of the railroad. The CPU also expands the Urban Reserve Line and identifies two future expansion areas. The EIR will evaluate the CPU at a conceptual level of detail and will serve as a programmatic EIR pursuant to section 15168 of CEQA Guidelines.
