Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed
Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-RIV-24552-R6), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, to the project Applicant, Gary Koontz of Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. The Project is limited to impacts to streams associated with improvements to the water system onsite at the Coachella Valley Compost Facility, including the installation of a 264,000-gallon water tank with associated infrastructure (access road, fencing, etc.) and connecting pipelines to existing water lines. The new water lines will extend from the compost facility to the existing transfer station. The Project will temporarily impact a total of 1.78 acres of fish and wildlife resources subject to Fish and Game Code section 1600 et seq. To compensate for temporary
impacts to 1.78 acres of fish and wildlife resources subject to Fish and Game Code section 1600 et seq., the Project Proponent shall restore all 1.78 acres of area temporarily impacted by the Project through the control of all non-native plant species for a minimum of three growing seasons following the completion of Project activities
