- The California Department of Public Health (Department), as the Responsible Agency, will be issuing a water supply permit to the proposed project includes the construction of an 8,845 square feet building for office space (to accommodate a team of scientist and filed technicians), a laboratory (to execute plant pathology tests and to perform basic pathology research) and seed storage vault (for storage of seed samples of all the breeding lines for different research programs in lettuce, pepper and onions). The building will be LEED certified. The project also includes a 27-space parking lot with two handicapped space. The project will be supplied with water for domestic use from an existing well that will be upgraded and become a new water system.
