Document Description
The Department of Water Resources will conduct two in-water geotechnical borings in the Sacramento River cove and three in-water geotechnical borings in the Butte Slough in the summer of 2013 to determine underwater soils along the proposed sheet pile alignment for the future Butte Slough Outfall Gates Rehabilitation project. Each boring is expected to take approximately 12 to 16 hours to complete with the overal effort expected to be completed in 20 days. This project will not impact riparian habitat since construction equipment, associated vehicles, and supplies will be using existing roads and paths and no vegetation will need to be removed for access and storage.
