Document Description
The California Department of Transporation, proposes a State funded project to upgrade exterior safety lighting at the Shingletown Safety Roadside Rest Area, on 44, east of the community of Shingletown. The existing lighting system lacks adequate converage along sidewalks and within the parking area. The purpose of the project is to improve safety and reduce maintenance and energy costs. The project entails replacing existing light fixtures and adding several lights. Expansion of the lighting system will require installation of new underground electrical conduit, which will require trenching and/or boring.
