It has been proposed by the USMC/NAVFAC to remove a ~15-acre flat vernal pool restoration site from the existing San Onofre State Beach lease. There is a waterline and a telephone line running throught the site, which must be rerouted.

No potential for significant impacts to the environment are anticipated in compliance with Section 15300.2. Existing facilities as an existing water and phone line, New Construction or Conversion of SMall Structures as (d) water main, sewerage, electrical, gas and other utility extensions and Minor alterations to land as earthmoving, trenching activities to tie into and reroute the existing water and phone line. There is negligible expansion of existing use. The Project does not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees.
