Document Description
The Project includes abandonment of oil well "JUTBU 27" (API No. 019-05144). The abandonment will be limited to excavation of the well casing to a depth of approximately 10 feet; the casing will be cut at a depth of 8 feet below the channel bed elevation and capped with a steel plate, welded to the top of the casing. The steel plate will be at least as thick as the outer well casing and will have the last five digits of the API number. The excavated area will be backfilled and recontoured to original slopes.

Minor and temporary disturbance of the streambed that wil result in reduced erosion and risk of spill of oil in the future. All work will be done in absence of surface flow during naturally dry conditions and no trees will be removed during the Project.
