Document Description
The Project proposes to develop final design to rehabilitate forty-eight filter basins at the Weymouth plant. The existing filters' internal components have deteriorated through continuous use and need to be refurbished. Rehabilitation activities include: replace the filter media; replace surface wash system with larger piping to improve flow configuration; replace the underdrains; modify flow distribution flumes; raise and replace the existing troughts to accommodate filter media; and reinforce the filter gullet walls to improve seismic stability.
