Document Description
Garden Highway Mutual Water Company (GHMWC) proposes to temporarily transfer to Dudley Ridge Water District (DRWD) and Kern County Water Agency (KCWA) collectively, a total of 4,400 acre-feet of water made available by pumping groundwater in lieu of diverting surface water. GHMWC has petitioned for, and the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) has approved, a change in the place of use of the transfer water. GHMWC's Point of Transfer will be at River Mile 13.1R of the Feather River. The transfer water will flow down the Feather River and into the Sacramento River to the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, where it will be pumped by DWR at SWP Banks Pumping Plant and conveyed to DRWD's and KCWA's service area due to ongoing dry conditions and would not support new development.
