Document Description
The proposed project involves safety improvements at the recently constructed chemical storage facility at the Waterman Water Treatment Plant. The chemical storage facility is located approximately 20 feet from an open ditch. An internal access roadway separates the ditch and chemical storage area. The safety improvements to the access road will include widening the road at each end of the chemical storage area to 45 feet minimum. This will allow a standard 45-foot delivery vehicle to access the chemical unloading area from either direction. The added width will also allow emergency vehicles access to the chemical storage area when a delivery vehicle is parked at the chemical unloading area. Work is expected to continue for approximately two months.
