Document Description
The purpose of this project is to repair segments on the landside of the Sherman Island Levee system where seepage from the Sacramento River is evident between approximate levee stations 870+00 to 940+00 on the north side of Sherman Island. Levee failure in the project area would be catastrophic as the levee section in question supports a portion of Highway 160. The proposed project will involve relocation of PG&E power poles, excavation of landside levee toe, import of drain rock and embankment material, and installation of a drainage system designed to move standing water resulting from seepage off the landside levee toe.
