Document Description
A Conditional Use Permit to allow a 10-acre agricultural trucking facility pursuant to Section 19.12.030.A.2 of the Kern County Zoning Ordinance, in an A (Exclusive Agriculture) District. As proposed, the facility would serve as a staging yard for 24 diesel trucks with trailers for interstate transport (primarily Fresno to Los Angeles) of agricultural-related products (i.e. soil amendments, animal feed, compost, and grapes). The proposed staging yard would encompass approximately 10 acres and have twenty-four (24), 15-foot by 70-foot parking spaces for trucks and trailers, and thirty-three (33), 9-foot by 20-foot parking spaces for employees. Development will also consist of a 9,600 sf office/repair building of which 2,000 sf will be dedicated for office space and 7,600 sf for truck repairs. A 25,000 gallon above ground fuel tank and containment area will also be constructed as part of the trucking facility.
