Document Description
The proposed Project involves the underground installation of an approximately 9 mile length of 8-inch natural gas distribution pipeline that would serve the Gallo Cattle Co. Ranch and two Foster Farms facilities (Lincoln Ranch and Cressey Ranch) in the Merced County. The natural gas distribution line is desired by Gallo Cattle and Foster Farm to replace their current propane gas use delivered by truck. Upon installation, the pipeline would be given to Pacific Gas and Electric Company (P&E) to own and operate. Roughly seven miles of the pipeline will be located within Caltrans or County road rights of way; the remaining approximately 2 miles will extend through lands owned by Gallo Cattle Co. or Foster Farms.
