Construction of circulation improvements near the U.S. Hwy 101/Sanborn Road interchange in the City of Salinas. The primary project focus is to modify conditions at the U.S. Hwy 101/Sanborn Road southbound off-ramp and the adjacent Elvee Drive/Sanborn Road intersection to ensure they are separated by a minimum of 400 feet consistent with the minimum Caltrans standard for separation distance between a highway ramp intersection and the nearest adjacent public street intersection. Currently, the two intersections have about 25 feet of separation.
