Document Description
The item presented options for permitting and constructing decorative community identification signs, using the feedback provided by the Fifth District communities. The existing Decorative Community Identification Signage program was previously approved by the Board on January 29, 2014 (7). The program consists of design and installation of decorative community identification signs within the public right-of-way in the County of San Diego. The Board of Supervisors action approved Recommendations 1 and 2, and Option 3B, and 4B, as described in the Board Letter dated August 17, 2022, and also directed staff to return with more information on Option 3C. Recommendation 1 included the finding that no substantial changes in the project or the circumstances have occurred since the Negative Declaration was adopted on January 29, 2014.
