The existing culvert is undersized to convey flows greater than a 10 year storm event, is rotting and at high risk of failure. The new culvert is sized to convey the 100+ year storm flow and will be set at a reduced gradient compared to the existing culvert. The project will close Oregon Mountain Road for 4-6 weeks in August and September, 2013.
