Document Description
The project will invovle the installation of a shaded fuel break, three miles in length, located approximately 350 feet on each side of a decommissioned railroad. The vegetation within the project area consists of a dense to moderately dense stand of mature Douglas fir, Ponderosa pine, white fir, incense cedar, and black oak with dense amounts of brush species in the understory.
Fuel break installation will entail the use of hand crews to cut, pile and chip 80% - 90% of the brush species withint he project area.
