Document Description
The Ulatis Creek Riparian Enhancement Project will restore the riparian habitat of 8.8 miles of Ulatis Creek through the removal of 3.2 acres of invasive non-native giant reed (Arundo donax). Arundo will be cut and painted with herbicide near the creek if water is present. Farther from the creek foliar applications of herbicide will be used after Arundo is roped and brought near to the ground to avoid overspray. Once Arundo is dead native riparian trees will be installed. Arundo will be treated from upstream to downstream to avoid re-infestation.
