Document Description
The Ledgewood Creek Riparian Enhancement Project will restore the riparian habitat of 8.8 miles of Ledgewood Creek through the removal of 3.0 invasive non-native giant reed (Arundo donax) Arundo will be cut and painted with herbicide near the creek if water is present. Farther from the creek folier applications of herbicide will be used after Arundo is roped and brought near to the ground to avoid overspray. Once Arundo is dead native riparain trees will be installed. Arundo will be treated from upstream to downstream to avoid re-infestation.
