Document Description
This project involves the periodic capping, with soil, of an identified archeological area. It is believed this area has sensitive cultural features and the cap protects these features from possibly beocming disturbed by road maintenance activities. The area is approximately 12,000 square foot and will be capped with 4-6" of native soil and road base material. Currently, the project area is one of the primary trails that park staff uses to assess portions of the recreational areas. No excavation on-site will occur. This project will occur during dry weather and with the oversignt of a qualified archeologist.
