Document Description
The Northern California Power Agency (NCPA) owns and operates approximately 40 miles of 230kV transmission line extending from the Collierville Powerhouse outside of Vallecito, CA to a PG&E substation in Bellota, CA. The transfission line is licensed by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and subject ot the requirements of North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) whose mission is to ensure the reliability of the bulk power system in North America. NCPA has a Transmission Vegetation Management Plan to help with adherence to CalFire's November 2008 Power Line Fire Prevention Field Guide, and to maintain public and worker safety.
