Document Description
Repair and replace the damaged or missing handrails and posts along the trail from the campfire center in Hickey Campground to the river bar in Standish Hickey State Recreation Area to provide assistance to hikers traveling on the steep trail. Work will repair approximately 350 feet of handrail and post: * Remove existing posts and file holes with concrete for 4 inch by 4 inch piers * Excavate approximately 10 holes 8 to 12 inches in diameter 24 inches deep and pour concrete for 4 inch by 4 inch piers for new posts. * Posts will be a length to accomplish a finished top rail height of 42 inches above ground; since posts are being re-used they will range in size (4x4, 3x6, and 4x6).
